Golden Mane captures a lion turning his gaze towards the viewer, his thick mane rendered in loose, textured strokes of amber, honeyed gold and burnt sienna. Deep umber shadows fall across his shoulders while ivory highlights catch along his muzzle and brow, giving real weight to the impasto brushwork. The overall feeling is one of calm authority, a creature utterly at ease with his own strength.
This striking piece suits a living room wall above a sofa or console table, where its warm tones can anchor the space, and works equally well as bedroom wall art for those drawn to bold, characterful subjects. Each canvas is hand-painted to order by our artists, available rolled or framed and in a choice of sizes to suit your wall.
