Turquoise Tresses is painted from behind, the sitter's face turned gently aside as cascades of teal and sea green hair tumble down in thick, swirling curls. A soft ochre ribbon threads through the waves, catching the warm amber glow that radiates from the background like the last light of a summer evening. The effect is quietly mesmerising, built up with rich, textured brushwork and confident palette knife strokes that give every curl real movement and depth.
With its warm, glowing tones this piece suits a bedroom wall facing the bed, or a living room above a sofa where the amber hues can echo soft furnishings nearby. Every canvas is hand-painted to order by our own artists, supplied as a rolled canvas or ready framed, in a choice of sizes to suit your wall.
