Feathered Storm pulls the eye straight into a churning vortex of black, charcoal grey and white, as though looking up into the heart of a gathering squall. Loaded brushwork and palette-knife ridges sweep inward from every corner towards a luminous centre touched with ochre gold, while streaks of crimson gather and drip across the lower right. The effect is dramatic and full of motion, with real weight and energy in the texture.
Its bold scale and dark palette suit a space built around striking abstract wall art, such as above a sofa in a contemporary living room or along a wide hallway wall where its movement can be taken in from a distance. Every canvas from Gallery 23 is hand-painted to order by our artists, available as a rolled canvas or framed canvas art, in a choice of sizes.
