Vintage by Lamplight brings together an antique brass oil lamp and a cluster of old wine bottles, its flame glowing honey-gold against a deep black-brown backdrop. Thick, textured strokes build up the warm glass and burnished metal, while a half-filled wine glass catches the lamplight beside a small scatter of grapes. The whole scene feels hushed and nostalgic, as though caught in a quiet moment after dinner.
With its rich, low-lit palette, this piece suits a dining room wall or the space above a sideboard, and works equally well as bedroom wall art where its glow feels calm rather than bright. Every canvas from Gallery 23 is hand-painted to order by our artists, available as a rolled canvas or framed canvas art in a choice of sizes.
