Lone Skiff brings us close to the water's edge, where a timeworn wooden boat sits motionless against a hush of turquoise and pale aqua. Its weathered hull, streaked with rust and driftwood brown, catches the last warmth of a soft dawn light spreading low across the horizon. The water below ripples gently with knife-textured strokes of cobalt and grey-violet, lending the whole scene a meditative, unhurried calm.
With its gentle palette and quiet stillness, this piece suits a bedroom wall above the headboard or a reading corner needing a touch of calm, and works equally well as bedroom wall art in a muted, coastal-toned room. Every canvas from Gallery 23 is hand-painted to order by our own artists, supplied as a rolled canvas or framed, in a choice of sizes.
