Green Forest Walk looks down upon a sun-dappled track as it winds away through a hillside thick with trees, one lone figure making their way along the worn path. The palette is rich with emerald and jade greens, cut through with warm amber light and flashes of violet and burnt orange where wildflowers crowd the verges. Built up with heavy palette-knife texture, the whole scene has a peaceful, unhurried air, as though caught mid-ramble on a warm afternoon.
This landscape painting brings a sense of calm to a living room wall above a sofa or settles quietly into a hallway or stairwell where its depth and texture reward a closer look.
