Gold Reeds at Night gathers a stand of slender gilded reeds that catch the light against a deep navy backdrop, their forms doubled in the still, dark water below. Thick, knife-worked textures build the night sky and ripples alike, while the gold leaf brings a warm glow to the quiet scene. The overall feeling is hushed and still, like standing at the water's edge after dark.
With its deep tones and warm highlights, this piece works well as bedroom wall art or hung above a sofa in a living room, where its glow can draw the eye without overwhelming the space.
