Azure Tutu captures a ballerina caught mid-rise, her arms curved overhead and her chin turned in quiet concentration. Thick, textured strokes build her skirt from layers of teal, navy and soft slate blue, while scattered flecks of gold catch across the fabric and drift into the pale, cloudy background. There's a hush of elegance to the whole piece, graceful movement held still.
This one suits a living room art arrangement above a sofa or sideboard, where the gold accents can pick up lamplight in the evening, and it works equally well as bedroom wall art for a calm, refined corner. Every piece at Gallery 23 is hand-painted to order by our artists, supplied as a rolled canvas or framed, in a choice of sizes.
